Cesenatico between sea and history

From a small fishing village to today's maritime centre, Cesenatico is a land rich in history that accompanies its visitors in the discovery of enchanting colourful views, relaxing seascapes and warm, welcoming atmospheres.

Between fishing huts, typical restaurants and seagulls

Walking up from the pier along Leonardo's canal port, the first marvel one encounters are the Capanni da Pesca, the symbol par excellence of seafaring life in Cesenatico. It is from this point on the pier that at various times of the day one can watch the return of the fishing boats, escorted by scenic flocks of circling seagulls.
It is from Piazza Ciceruacchio that one enters the heart of the historical centre. The old sailors' boats, the "Piazzetta delle Conserve", the Old Fish Market, the House of the Poet Marino Moretti and many lovely fish restaurants.
A grand finale with the marvellous Maritime Museum. Unique in the world for its floating section, where you can admire ancient sails and bragozzi decorations, directly on the canal.
